Abs are made in the kitchen

From January 2013 I made drastic changes to my diet, my diet wasn't awful, I was just a little un- educated about healthy eating and what actually is healthy. After lots of research I discovered CLEAN EATING and the best thing is it isn't a strict diet or meal plan, its is just eating things in their most natural state.

Clean eating for me is now my way of life, I am super strict Monday to Friday and then on Saturday I have a treat day where I can eat whatever i like! Sometimes I end up taking it to extreme levels eating way too much and ending up in agony on a Saturday evening.. I wouldn't advise this!!

Here is my typical diet;

Breakfast;
Quakers oats porridge with semi skimmed milk, tspn honey and sprinkle of cinnamon      OR
Blueberry pancakes (I have posted the recipe on my blog)
Lunch
2 poached eggs with 2 slices lean bacon, 1 avocado
Tuna salad
Spinach and mushroom omelette
Homemade soup
Dinner
Chicken, sweet potato wedges and roasted veg
Salmon, brown rice and veg
Chill con carne (made the clean way, no jars!!) with brown rice
Stir fry
Use spices to make your chicken a bit more exciting.
Snacks- I have usually about 2 or 3 snacks a day
Fruits
Greek yoghurt, apple and honey
Oatcakes with homous
Rice cakes with Philadelphia light and cucumber or tspn peanut butter
Berrie and banana smoothie
2 Hard boiled eggs
Protein shake

I stay away from bread and processed sugar during the week, but at the weekend there is nothing nicer than a piece of hot white toast covered in jam!
