HIIT is currently my favourite way to fit some cardio in instead of spending ages on a treadmill or a bike counting down the timer. I like to try and finish of my workouts with 20-30 minutes of HIIT.
I always plan out what exercises I am going to do beforehand (will put an example at the bottom) and I go crazy for 30 seconds and rest for 15 seconds, I have an interval timer app on my phone which makes a beep sound so you know when to start and stop each exercise.
I don't think there really any set exercises that you should do or in a particular order etc I just like ones that make me work hard and get sweaty.
Here is an example of a HIIT workout- each exercise 30 seconds, 15 rest in between and repeat each set 3 times
Running on spot (get those knees high!)
Burpees
Press ups
x3
Boxing
Skipping
Kettle bell swings
x3
Plank to push up position
Box jumps
Mountain Climbers
x3
Squats Jumps
Tricep dips
Lunge jumps
x3
Finish
